Supernatural: "The French Mistake" Review.
59In this episode the angle Balthazar thrown the brothers into a parallel universe, that's very much like ours. In this universe they weren't brothers, but were actors on a TV show tittle Supernatural. Yeah, but it doesn't stop there they both played their real selves, in this universe Dean is Jensen Ackles and Sam is Jared Padalecki.
They soon realized everything they ever did in their real lives was put on a TV show. The show creator Eric Kripke, executive producers Sera Gamble, and Robot Singer all played them selves in this parallel universe. Castiel is Misha Collins who played a twitter head and Ruby is Genevieve Cortese who's Jared's real life wife and also is in this parallel universe.
The episode also poke fun of Jensen's run on Days of ours Lives, as Eric Brady, showing a clip from the show. This episode also poke fun of the network the CW and Vancouver, the city where they film the show. Not giving too much of the story line away the brothers must find their way back to their universe, but to make matters worst an angle name Virgil crossover and is trying to kill them, for a key that Balthazar gave them which's to a place that the stolen weapons from Heaven are at. The weapons that Raphael wants to use against Cass in the war for Heaven.
Want I really like about this episode is that in this parallel universe there aren't any monsters, vampires, werewolves, or anything else that goes bump in the night. Magic and spells don't work and there isn't a Heaven or hell. The brothers hunted things all their lives and in this universe they could live a normal life, something that they've both longed for, but chose to go back to their real lives, where the monsters exists. They'd away out from hunting, a place where they could be free and rich as actors, but in the end they chose the right path.
Four bags of rock salt out of five.
Fake Ruby kissing Sam as Dean wondering what the heck is going on.
